Worcester and District Angling Association is the established angling body for the city of Worcester and the surrounding stretches of the River Severn and the River Teme. With both rivers running through and around the city, members enjoy access to two of the West Midlands’ most important coarse rivers within a short drive.
The Severn through Worcestershire is a major destination for barbel, chub, and pike, with consistent reports of double-figure barbel and specimen chub each season. The River Teme, which joins the Severn just south of Worcester, is a nationally renowned barbel river designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest along its full length, and offers some of the finest small-river barbel and chub fishing in the country alongside trout and grayling in its upper reaches.
Worcester sits at the heart of this exceptional river network, and the association’s waters open the door to it for members willing to put the legwork in. The Severn responds particularly well to traditional river tactics, including stick float, feeder, and big-bait pike fishing in the colder months.
For Worcester, Malvern, and Droitwich-based anglers, this is a club that puts genuinely top-quality river fishing within reach of home.
