Staffordshire Angling Club is a community-focused club based around Stone and the wider Staffordshire area, with a clear mission: to inspire the next generation of anglers. The club runs DBS-checked junior coaching sessions for children aged 6–16, alongside regular matches and family days, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, accessibility, and outdoor wellbeing.
The club partners with local fisheries, schools, and national bodies to deliver coaching, friendly competitions, and entry-level pathways into the sport. A live tackle donation scheme, collecting unused rods, reels, and floats feeds directly back into junior sessions, giving kids who might otherwise never pick up a rod the chance to try fishing for the first time. Volunteer roles are open across bailiffing, coaching, and events for anyone wanting to give time back to the bank.
Membership is offered for all ages and abilities, with junior memberships only available to children accompanied by an adult full season ticket holder. Members receive proof of membership by email along with a virtual card for their phone wallet, and adults can add under-16s to their account online.
Whether you’re a parent looking to get your child into fishing, an experienced angler keen to give something back, or someone just starting out, Staffordshire Angling Club is built around one idea — fishing can change lives.
