Oakedge Fly Fishers is a private fly-fishing syndicate based at Oakedge Park within the boundaries of the historic Wolseley Estate on Cannock Chase, near Stafford. With membership capped at 35 anglers, this is a genuinely intimate club, quiet, well-managed, and focused on a remarkable little fishery that punches well above its weight for somewhere just minutes from the M6.

The fishery comprises four cascaded pools fed by the natural “Seven Springs” rising on the estate. The combination of cold, clear, mineral-rich spring water creates a habitat that supports a population of wild brown trout alongside stocked rainbow, blue, and brook trout, the latter brought in from the well-regarded Ellerdale Trout Fishery. The setting is genuinely beautiful: cascading pools threading through ancient woodland on Cannock Chase, with abundant birdlife and wildlife as constant companions on the bank.

Membership is offered as a limited-spaces syndicate, with new members accepted each season as places become available.
